Technical Process
Customer submits automotive component drawings. Jinlong's team reviews the design for compliance with automotive interior/exterior trim specifications and provides a quotation within 3 business days.
Jinlong conducts a complimentary DFM analysis — focusing on Class-A surface accessibility, structural rib design, clip feature integration, and fit-gap requirements with adjacent automotive components. Feedback delivered within 48 hours.
Mold designs developed with automotive-grade engineering standards using SolidWorks, Pro/ENGINEER, UG, or CATIA. Special attention given to gate location for optimal flow on large surface areas and ejection system design for trim components. Designs submitted for customer approval.
Molds machined in Jinlong's tool room using high-speed CNC for large cavity surfaces, Charmilles EDM for intricate trim features and texturing, and slow-speed wire-cut for core/cavity inserts. Large-format machining capabilities up to 3,200 × 1,800 × 1,600mm.
Mold assembled with emphasis on flatness control for large parting surfaces. Trials conducted on Jinlong's injection machines with tonnage matching component size. Samples evaluated for surface quality, dimensional fit with assembly neighbors, and Class-A surface inspection.
Samples measured on CMM with full FAI documentation for automotive approval. Upon customer approval, mold accepted and shipped with complete quality documentation.
Long-term support for design changes, engineering modifications, and spare parts throughout the automotive production lifecycle.
